Shershah
Mahiar was born in the
historical city of Herat in Afghanistan. When he wasn’t even
five years old, his family was forced to leave Afghanistan due
to the political situation. He visited elementary school in
Iran, then his family immigrated to Germany where he finished
high school.
With 11 years he discovered his affinity for music and started
to sing, by the time he turned 12 he had already composed his
first song “Nasim-e-Sahar” (Morning glory). He found big support
by lots of people who liked his music. That’s how he made his
first steps in the world of music.
Music lays within the family, lots of his songs were composed by
his brother, Timor Mahiar. Shershah never had music lessons or a
teacher who showed him how things work, with time he taught
himself all he had to know. That’s how he found his own style
which makes his music so unique. Since 1999 he published 6
