Biography (in his own words)
My name is Ramin Atash and I was born in Kabul,
Afghanistan. My Family and I lived in Kabul until 1990 by that
time my parents decided to leave Afghanistan.
In 1990 we arrived in Germany
and I started my school career and attended the secondary
school. Afterwards I attended the technical secondary school and
completed it with the vocational baccalaureate diploma. In the
same year I started studying in the faculty for civil
engineering at University of Kassel. In 2002 I finished my
degree dissertation and terminated my courses of studies
successfully.
From 2002 until 2006 I was
employed at an engineering company in Kassel. From October 2006
on I will work in Cologne. Already in my younger days I was very
interested in Afghan music, at the age of 10 I was able to play
Harmonia ( see video about live performance at the age of 10
with the musicband of Wahid Sabiri in Kabul.
In Germany I was quite busy
with school and University but I always played an instrument in
my spare time. I always liked to play and had performance at
family-and birthday celebrations of my friend. My Father
supported me a lot. As a result of active demand I started in
2005 to sing at weddings. I received a lot of promotion and
compliments resulting in even more concentration on Afghan
music. I have to allude that my little brother Rasched Atash is
also deeply interested in music. |
